As the IT Manager, you will be full of ideas, have ambition to identify business opportunities and above all be able to lead new projects to roll out IT infrastructures across various technologies.
Duties of the IT Manager:
· Effective stakeholder management and communication to ensure all levels are engaged in IT Services, their use, and improvement
· Strategic development of service and service improvement
· Ownership, governance, and management of services
· Troubleshoot hardware and software issues related to internal IT – including PC’s, servers, routers, printers and software applications
· Create and maintain a strategic direction for IT Services in line with organisational strategy
· Provide remote customer support to security installers and end-users
· Liaising with external parties in relation to software platforms Microsoft SQL and SQL databases
· Liaising with external agencies, such as Webwayone, Emizon and software vendors to achieve company requirements
· Ensure service quality and integrity alongside a variety of projects including system implementations
· Ensure that all documentation associated to the IT Service is in place and regularly maintained
Salary: £37000 - £45000 DOE
Hours: Between 8:30am – 5:30pm (flexible) Monday to Friday
(you may be required on rare occasions to support out of hours on-call – this time will be paid back in lieu)
Desirable:
· 2+ years of experience working in IT operations
· Experience of IT service management across the service lifecycle (end-to-end)
· Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience. CompTIA A+ certification or equivalent.
· Knowledge of:
o Zyxel
o VOIP Telephony
o Mimecast/other email spam filter vendors
o HyperV
o VMWare virtualisation
