Our client, a large and well-respected public-sector provider based on Bristol, is looking for a Project Manager with experience of planning and processing construction-related schemes. The primary objective will be to provide high quality project management for both simple and complex capital projects over a range of values, significantly contributing to the multi-campus, multi-building and property portfolio. 

As Senior Project Manager, the successful applicant will deliver projects to agreed programmes on time, within budget, and to specification.

This Project Manager role is incredibly varied, with key responsibilities including:

• Assessing and preparing service user briefs, identifying the service requirements and objectives
• Liaising with Building and Engineering Estates Officers, external consultants, and other professionals as needed
• Assessing feasibility of potential projects, forming budget estimates within agreed timeframes, and utilising the skills of in-house Building and Engineering Estates Officers
• Providing professional expert advice on approach to producing feasibility reports and business case reports for consideration
• Outlining design proposals and sketches to articulates and communicate design ideas
• Carrying out risk assessments to all aspects of the work process and implementing Health and Safety measures to ensure high standards
• Checking for project design, specification, procurement, cost estimation, and project management within financial limits
• Responsible for new works and delegated schemes involving both direct labour trade staff and contractors
• Managing relationships with internal staff, external contractors, and all parties affected by the works throughout all the stages of the project
• Coordinating the production of outline budget costs within agreed protocols

Due to the nature of this Project Manager role, previous experience within a similar role is essential. The successful candidate will also be experienced in budget/financial management for projects between £25,000-£4million, documentation and associated protocols for managing the contract process, and implementing design principles related to commercial premises.
