Our client, a large and well-respected public-sector provider based in the City Centre, is looking for a Senior Project Manager on a permanent basis. Working as part of the Estates team, the Senior Project Manager will be responsible for managing several major and minor works projects. The key objective being to ensure that there are robust process, mechanisms and tools in place for programmes to be delivered on time and to the highest standards.

The role of Senior Project Manager is incredibly varied, and the key duties and responsibilities will include;

  • Supporting in the planning of the portfolios, programmes and projects
  • Leading and supporting the definition of project briefs
  • Developing and communicating project feasibility reports
  • Ensuring technical validation of proposed construction works
  • Delivering major and minor projects including engineering and building projects
  • Overseeing financial management and responsibility
  • Completing project administration and contract management including the execution of contracts

Due to the nature of this Senior Project Manager position, the successful candidate should have a degree or equivalent experience in a building discipline i.e. building surveying or construction. In order be able to quickly hit the ground running, experience of planning and processing construction related schemes, and project management including budget management for works over £25,000 would be preferred.
